Abstract

Among the first generation representatives of modern neo-Confucianism, Xiong Shili successfully founded his own school, Shili School. Tang Junyi, Mou Zongsan and others consciously inherited the thought of their master, which greatly increased the influence of this school, which became a unique scene in the development of modern neo-Confucianism, The core of this school of thought can be summarized as“one body and two manifestations", “One body" refers to the moral noumenon, and“two manifestations" are the presentation of moral practice and that of moral being respectively, It is an important task for the future development of Confucianism to studythis school seriously, to understand the core of the thought of “one body and two manifestations", to explore its intrinsic value and to carry it forward.
